Hello, my photography friends!
Sometime in the last couple of years, you signed up for my free ebook. I’ve sent you very few emails since then. Mostly because I don’t want to bother you.
But I love to make stuff so I thought, “Why not send it out to everyone?”
My favourite way to learn and teach is through micro lessons; bite-size pieces of education that give you powerful, practical techniques to use.
Here are 3 micro lessons to get you started… and there are more on the way.
Our photos don't always look as good as we wish they did. But we can improve them dramatically through better composition.
Simply click the photo to go to the lesson.
When it comes to composition, there are dozens - even hundreds - of creative elements to play with.
That is why I will show you the most powerful elements of composition first - so that if you do only these two things, your photos will get better.
It is the fusion of moment and perspective that gives us the two most powerful elements of composition.
We talk about "capturing moments." But as photographers, it's more like moments capture and captivated us.
I’ve got a few more micro lessons in the works, let me know what you think of these ones.

Just stumbled across your post and really enjoyed it. I've never heard of composition described in these terms before and it really resonates with me. I think it aligns with my focus on story telling in photography and of course stories are made up of moments. Many thanks - look forward to reading more of your blogs.
