I fell for all 7 myths about learning photography.
Ignore bad advice, embrace your quirks, and take more pictures.
Good morning!
There is a lot of stuff standing in the way of you and a good photo. Sometimes it’s technical, sometimes it’s creative, sometimes it’s psychological.
Maybe one of these 7 illusions is standing in your way?
At the time of writing this, the video has had 5 views with 3 thumbs-up, and 1 thumb down. That thumb down is golden because it means my ideas ruffled some feathers. Somebody doesn’t want me to lift the veil on learning photography. Too late ;)
Although there were only 5 views, I’ve had great feedback in the comments and in person. It managed to push some people past what they struggled with.
Btw, your quirks should never stand in your way as a photographer. In fact, embracing your quirks is what makes you unique as a photographer.
I love to photograph people who don't want to be sitting in front of the camera. It's one of my favourite things. I love to see them squirm because I'm squirming inside as well. But I'm going to love the photos and usually they love them as well. It doesn’t even matter what camera I’m using at the time.
Toward your photography dreams,
Mat
I love your writing style
